Magnolia BUTTERFLIES
A lovely tall shrub in the short term or eventually, compact small tree once established with creamy-yellow flowers (with slender petals and a slight lemon fragrance) in late spring which are said to look like butterflies sitting in the branches. This is one of the earliest flowering magnolias. After the tepals have fallen, the foliage of oblong-elliptical dark green leaves emerge and remain attractive throughout the growing season.
