Pot Size Guide_edited.jpg

Climbers

Our climbers are generally supplied in 3 litre pots and on 100cm canes to support the stems. We do have some which are in 1 litre pots and theses come on 60cm canes.

Shrubs

Our shrubs are mostly supplied in 3 litre pots. Some will come with a loose dressing on the top, which just helps to keep in moisture. Others will have  acoir collar on the top, which agin helps to retain moisture. This collar can be disgarded when planting.

Perennials

We supply perennials in varying sizes, mostly 2 litre. However, we also have 1.5 litre, 1 litre and more rarely 9cm.

15 Litre Specimens

There are times when we stock specimen plants in 15 litre pots. These are usually of limited availability and due too their size and weight, they are for COLLECTION or LOCAL DELIVERY ONLY.

Plant Dormancy

At some points in the year, usually late autumn, throughout winter and the early spring, some of our plants will have little or no sign of growth above the soil level, when you receive them. This is because they are in their dormant state. The plants are healthy and are probably at thrir best for planting. Once in the ground they should establish a strong root system before new growth appears in spring. Having a stronger root system should mean you will need to water less, come the summer months.

UK Grown

We supply the very best of British grown plants. Grown with care and expertise, our plants are nurtured to thrive in your garden, offering colour and long-lasting beauty for years to come. Using eco-friendly growing techniques wherever possible, we prioritise sustainability without compromising on our quality.  The majority of our plants are 'grown hard' which means they are grown outside with  no cover (unless the variety requires specific protection), which means you will get a stronger plant, better reasiliiace to our weather and far less likely to attract any  garden pests and diseases.
